Jessica Wylychenko is a highly motivated entrepreneur, retail director, and Dietitian. She is the Director of Support Services for Sobeys and is a natural-born leader. Jessica firmly believes in taking care of oneself, which means putting your physical and mental well-being first. As such, she considers a healthy diet essential to our daily lives.
Over the years, Jessica Wylychenko has perfected many hard and soft skills to make herself more marketable. She is self-motivated, very positive, consistent, and a strategic thinker. She is likewise a top team earner and has excellent people management skills. These skills have been put to good work during Jessica’s career.
Jessica Wylychenko has many hobbies and passions in life. For example, she is an avid runner. Jessica is a competitive runner and has been doing this for over four years. She’s already signed up to be a part of the 2023 Boston Marathon and looks forward to more opportunities in the future. Running isn’t the only active hobby Jessica enjoys; one will find that she is a very engaged member of the fitness community in Winnipeg. She’s even been a run ambassador for local races.
One can see Jessica Wylychenko’s love of fitness and health in many of her professional endeavors. It all started with a job at Youville Diabetes Center, where Jessica was a Certified Diabetes Education Dietitian. Here Jessica collaborated as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered diabetes education. Following that, Jessica moved to a company called Salads Are Sweet. Jessica founded the company in 2017 and held the role of Creative Dietitian. In short, she was responsible for running the nutrition consultation practice and became adept and handling business practices alongside patient care.
This led to Jessica Wylychenko’s next big venture, Sobeys Inc. In 2016 Jessica signed on with Sobeys Inc. as one of their Registered Dietitians. She worked hard to build a loyal customer base and offer support and rapport with patients and health professionals. Her hard work paid off, and in 2019 she was moved to Manager of Retail operations. This required a more proactive role in marketing and strategies while enabling Jessica to focus on nutrition and customer care. In 2021, Sobeys once again presented Jessica Wylychenko with a new opportunity; Director of Support Services. This is the role she currently holds, where she is responsible for her team of retail executives, supporting store retail operations, constructing strategic visions, and much more.
In 2020, Jessica Wylychenko and her business partner opened Hudson Bagels in Winnipeg. Yes, this means they opened a bagel shop during the height of the pandemic. Hudson Bagels offers Winnipeg-style bagels, which means they are a combination of Montreal and New York bagels. Flavor examples include Winnipeg-style rye bagels, rosemary sea salt, roasted onion, and vegan superseded.
Jessica Wylychenko’s unique combination of career experience and skillsets has given her an appreciation for arts and culture and how it relates to our overall health and wellness. To many people, food is nothing more than a meal or a snack – but to Jessica, food can be an art form. It just so happens that this particular art form can help sustain our bodies and minds.
